This page is designed to give you positions on some specific issues, and we'll add more to it as the campaign develops. In the meantime, please take note of my Principles for a Prosecutor and Why I'm Running, which detail my thoughts on what we should demand from our next Prosecutor.
Fiscal Conservatism
I promise not to ask the taxpayers for more money. I will use my executive and organizational management experience to lead the Prosecutor's office in increased efficiency and modernization. Accountability & priorities are keys success in any organization. Even in good fiscal times, a Prosecutor still has an obligation to be a good steward of the public trust and to focus on what is important.
Our Most Vulnerable
A prosecutor's job is about priorities. As a husband and father of two young children - crimes against women, children, and the elderly are repulsive. Prosecuting those crimes - as well as preventing them - will take precedence over other activities.
Drunk Driving Repeat Offenders
People who drive drunk place the public at risk and should be punished. Repeat drunk drivers are a menace to society, and need to be dealt with more harshly. As the Oakland County Prosecutor, I will create a special division to deal with this problem.
Domestic Violence
Unfortunately, domestic violence is a reality in our community. I will work with the law enforcement community and victim's rights groups like HAVEN, to address this issue.
Economic Crimes
Crimes like mortgage and deed fraud have had a dramatic effect on our national, state, and local economy, and have a very personal effect on its victims. We will address this issue more as the campaign progresses.
Protecting the Rights of Gun Owners
I believe any person who may legally possess a gun should have a right to do so. I will stand up for the Second Amendment.
